about

JAMES: Such an early song for the two-man ’Tone that I can’t really recall a time when we weren’t playing it. Lee wrote this one back in the days when he and Mel were dating but before she moved down south from Teeside. He used to do long weekend drives up to visit, which were the inspiration for this tune. We played this live at every show for absolutely ages. It remains my favourite song to contain any reference to the M25.

lyrics

Gear four to five
And I’m so high
Find the right to pull out from those lines

Well the trucks slow me down
They make me frown
Sun so hot it burns my crown

Round and round my head
It feels so right
Every time I see your love in sight

M2 is such a heavy five
It’s the same each and every time
Wish this town was really hard to find

Round and round my head
It feels so right
Every time I see your love in sight

Round and round in circles
You make me feel alive
Round and round in circles
Every second time

Round and round my head
It feels so right
Every time I feel your love inside
Round and round my head
It feels so right
Every time I see your love in sight
See your love in sight
